Shipping, Insurance and Returns
Every stone ships fully insured and tracked, worldwide, through specialist carriers. Most orders arrive within a few working days of dispatch. If a stone is not right, return it within 30 days for a full refund.
How Are Stones Shipped and Insured?
Every stone is fully insured to its full value in transit and shipped through specialist carriers, tracked door to door and delivered against signature.
Fine stones are not sent as ordinary parcels. We ship through carriers that handle valuables for the trade, such as Malca-Amit, alongside DHL and FedEx for insured express delivery. The stone is covered to its full value from the moment it leaves us until it is signed for, so the risk in transit is ours, not yours.
Each shipment is discreetly packed, tracked at every step, and released only against a signature at your address. We send the tracking details when the stone is dispatched, and we are on hand throughout in case anything needs attention.

What About Customs and Duty?
Any import duty or tax is set and charged by your own country, not by us, and is payable when the stone arrives.
We declare shipments correctly and in full, because an honest declaration is both the law and the fastest way through customs. What a destination charges in duty or tax is a matter for that country, and it varies widely, so it is charged to you on arrival rather than built into our price.
Rates and thresholds change and differ by country, so check your local position before you buy. Our guide to import duty and tax by country sets out what to expect in the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union and Australia.
30 Days, a Full Refund
You have 30 days from delivery to return a stone in its original condition, with its report, for a full refund. Tell us first and we will arrange fully insured return shipping.
How Do Returns and Refunds Work?
Return a stone within 30 days in its original condition, and once we receive and check it, we refund the full amount to your original payment method.
Buying a fine stone at a distance takes trust, so we make returns straightforward. As long as the stone comes back in the same condition it left us, with its laboratory report and any packaging, we will refund it in full. Tell us first so we can arrange fully insured return shipping rather than leaving a valuable stone to an ordinary courier. The only things we cannot take back are stones that have been altered, for example reset, recut or resized.
When the stone reaches us we check it against its report, usually within a day or two of arrival, then process the refund. How quickly it appears is down to your bank or card issuer. Where a return is a change of mind the return shipping and insurance are arranged with you; where a stone was not as described, that is on us.
